My name is Daniel Self, owner of sail27.  I am a student currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science at Bond University but my real passion lies in sailing, not statistics.

I have set myself the goal of competing at the Olympics in the Men's single handed Laser.  Australia's incredible depth of talent make Tokyo 2020 a real stretch target but I am in for the long haul and believe with enough sweat I can represent Australia at Paris in 2024.

With incredible support from Performance Sailcraft Australia, Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, the Queensland Laser Association, and the Queensland Academy of Sport - I established sail27 to serve the local dinghy sailing community, and self-fund my Olympic campaign.

sail27 is a specialist Laser and Optimist chandelry servicing competition and recreational dinghy sailors at RQYS, BSS, SBSC  and clubs throughout Queensland.  I stock a complete range of spare parts and specialist gear at competitive prices.  I keep costs low, and prices competitive with the intention of a win-win outcome for my customers and my Olympic aspirations.  Call me if you see one of my products advertised at a lower price - I will price-match whenever possible.

As always, thank you for your continuing support.  Fully tax-deductible donations gratefully received at the Australian Sports Foundation website at:
